The Studies in Labour History book series offers the reader the most recent and high quality research in the field. Labour history is defined in the widest sense to embrace not only labour and related social movements, but also workers in general and their relations with other groups in society. As such the series covers aspects of race, gender, ethnicity and culture as well as the more familiar topics of class, trade unionism and politics. While the key geographical focus rests upon the UK, the series is keen to publish research in the fields of transnational, global and comparative labour history. The current editor welcomes submissions from academics and others working in the area, including new researchers who are keen to publish their first monographs.

'...a series which will undoubtedly become an important force in re-invigorating the study of Labour History.' - English Historical Review
