International Women's Day Writers and their Work

For International Women's Day, we've curated a collection of Writers and their Work titles which are written either by a female author, or have a female as their subject.

Since its launch 25 years ago, Writers and their Work has showcased the best of short literary scholarship. Our International Women’s Day collection is dedicated to the female writers and critics published in this series. Written by the foremost scholars of the day, Writers and their Work features studies of popular late-twentieth-century writers as well as the canonical figures of literature throughout the ages. The rich and diverse landscape of women’s writing is represented here, from Aphra Behn to Virginia Woolf; from Nobel Prize winners to more neglected and marginalised writers.
